Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movies/h1>
Turtle Power!  As any self-respecting TMNT fan knows, that is the call to action for the four anthropomorphic crime fighting turtles by the names of Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo and Donatello.  Their adventures have been chronicled in numerous comic books and television shows as well as 4 full length feature films.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

This was the first film and it was released in 1990.  This was a live action film.  It centered on how the turtles transformed from ordinary turtles into walking, talking, pizza loving, and crime fighting ninjas.  You are introduced to not only the turtles but also to their Sensei Splinter, and the ever looming bad guy Shredder.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze

Released in 1991 this was also a live action film.  This movie featured Shredder attempting to create an entire army of mutant creatures and how the turtles battle with him over this.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III

This one (also live action) was released in 1993.  In this installment the heroes on the half shell become time traveling reptiles when they journey to ancient Japan to perfect the ninja ways and save a village during their journey.

TMNT

Released in 2007 this movie was CGI animated.  The turtles are split up in this installment.  Shredder has been defeated but there is a cabal of ancient creatures in the city trying to take over.  The turtles must join forces once again to make justice prevail.

Those are the four movies that have been released to date.  There is however a reboot that will be in theaters sometime in 2014.  In the upcoming version, the turtles have been given a different origin…and it is not of this earth.  This will be a live action film starring Megan Fox as turtle friend April and William Fichtner as Shredder.
