How to Draw a Ninja Turtle

So you’re looking to draw a ninja turtle? It’s actually a lot easier than you think, and doesn’t require a lot of time or skill. Here’s how:

Step 1:

First things first, you want to draw an egg-like shape for the face (Using a pencil is recommended. This way, you can correct any mistakes). Once you have this shape, draw a line around the shape, just a little above the middle point of the shape.

STEP 2.

Ok, now you can start drawing the squiggly pattern that will make up the top part of the ninja turtle’s mask (surprisingly, ninja turtles have no eyebrows).

STEP 3.

Start drawing the rest of the mask. Remember, there is no right or wrong way of doing this. You can experiment with size and shape. However, it is probably best not to make the mask too big.

STEP 4.

Remember how you originally started with an egg-like shape for the face? Now is the time to build on that original design, and make the bottom half of that face a little more bowl-like.

STEP 5.

At this point, you are starting to see your ninja turtle come to life. You’re almost there! Begin now by adding the most important features of the face: the nose, eyes, and mouth. Again, you can experiment with different kinds of eyes, or different noses. If you want your drawing to be closer to the original, however, a pointy mouth would be good here (almost looks like an arrow pointing down).

STEP 6.

Last but not least, add the tail-end of the mask. You can position it any way you want. It can either be to one side of the face, or dropping down, or waving intensely in a flowing way.

STEP 7.

Color your ninja turtle, and erase any mistakes you had a long the way. You’re done!
